Damn, girl! Nicki Minaj sexed it up at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 20. The rapper performed “Side to Side” with Ariana Grande and at one point during the performance, threw her legs in the air and made an arguably NSFW gesture sitting in a wicker chair.
As one person on Twitter shared: “Did Nicki Minaj really just spread her legs open and rub herself? On national TV? Guess who’s living right now😂.”
Others weren’t as keen on the vulgar dance move.
“WHAT THE HELL did @NICKIMINAJ just spread her legs on stage for? I mean honestly, a little class goes a long way,” another Twitter user added.
Their performance was relatively tame given the song’s lyrics.
As previously reported, Grande revealed during an interview with MTV News that “Side to Side” is about having so much intercourse that walking in a straight line becomes a problem.
“That whole song is about riding leading to soreness,” the pop star, 23, explained. “’Ride d–k bicycle’ is the lyric, indeed.”
